Listen: Obama Shirts are Offensive But Shouldn't Be Banned!
A recent slogan is appearing at tea parties that is as follows, "Pray For Obama, Psalm 109:8". It seems benign, but Psalm 109:8 says, "May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership." The passage continues to say "may his children be fatherless and his wife a widow." Although the slogan is offensive, Jack says they have the right to print it.

Well obviously there's a right to print it. It's freedom of the press. And besides, quoting a verse from the Bible does not imply that you intend the whole chapter or context to apply. Everyone who's ever been to church knows that. If they only print the reference to Psalm 109:8 on the shirt, then they only mean verse 8. And, since they're conservative, they probably meant for you to read it in the King James Version (not that rag you're reading) which says in Psalm 109:8 "Let his days be few; and let another take his OFFICE." In other words, as they are using it, let him be a one-term President!
