The Return of Hoovervilles? Ben Ehrenreich Explains - Part 1.

It is estimated that another 1.5 million people may become homeless in the next 18 months because of home foreclosures.  While this is a scary number, it doesn't come close to addressing what drives homelessness.  For that, you would have to go back to the Clinton and Reagan administrations.

Ben Ehrenreich joins me on Air America Radio to talk about homelessness and tent cities in places like Seattle, Portland and Fresno.  The problem is real and it is growing.  Ben writes about this in Tales of Tent City in The Nation Magazine.

Listen to Jack's Interview with Ben Ehrenreich - Part 1.
