Rep. Chris Van Hollen is a Very Funny Guy!

Congressman Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) is a very funny guy.  And he truly proved it the other day.  He has been a guest of mine on Air America Radio a couple of times and not only has he been a good guest but always had a good sense of humor.

Because he also happens to be my Congressman, I have regularly messed with him about coming over to dinner.  You know, why doesn't he spend more time with constituents like me, blah blah blah.  The last time he joined me, he was joking about wanting chicken when he came over.  Again, very funny guy.

Anyway, on Wednesday night, the day before Thanksgiving, I'm at MSNBC studios here in Washington DC and getting ready to go on the air.  And out of one of the studios walks Congressman Van Hollen.  He walks up to me, sticks out his hand and says, me and the family are coming over to your house for Thanksgiving tomorrow and we're bringing the entire extended family.  At this point, I'm thinking . . . my wife is going to kill me.

After that, Congressman Van Hollen just laughed.  So did I.  Throughout Thanksgiving, there was  a part of me that kept waiting for the doorbell to ring.  Like I said, a very funny guy!
