Will Health Insurance Reform Happen?

The Congress is debating as we speak.  As they seem to be getting closer and closer to passing a bill in the House to reform health insurance reform, nothing is certain.  While the Republicans have made it clear where they stand on the issue, will Democrats step up and pass legislation?

It seems clear to me that the pressure is on to pass this legislation.  President Obama ran on this as a fundamental plank.  Congress did the same thing.  For them to back off now would court absolute disaster in the elections of 2010.  While some may question the benefits versus the costs, for Democrats to back down now would truly court a complete disaster from the progressives in this country.

As we watch, and wait, we continue to look to the other House. What will the Senate do?
